frustrations and stress

thank you to all that have patience with us we have been having technical difficulties and i am trying to learn as we make attempt to fix them . it may be a long process .

frustrations equal stress , simply put. weather its trying to do something productive with your time to better yourself , and thus your contribution to your community or trying to set yourself and family up to live a little more comfortable .

our systems in society are not set up for success simply put , our mental health treatment system is deplorable , something i have experience with first hand . i was diagnosed with Bipolar 2 disorder several years ago , but could not get treatment to improve my life or that of those around me . before you say well you just had to apply yourself , i did feverently . since i worked as a nurse aid not getting paid well i applied for medicaid , due to not being able to afford insurance on my own , got denied because i made 50 cent too much for their guidelines . so i continued to try to cope the best i could on my own . I read books on subject matter but wasn’t making the progress i wanted frustration galore mounted to an enormous amount of stress. we also have the stigma if you have any mental condition you are not capable of raising children . Thankfully at the moment i have insurance and between medication and therapy i am doing well most days .

Another high stress is trying to get funding to go to school. there is a young man i know of that is trying to improve his pay and employment but keeps hitting one wall after another . when he was told o sure there is a lot of funding you qualify for , when he goes to get details he is finding zero help another frustration that equals high stress .

now to combat high stress situations what helps is the following and i hope maybe it will help you , i go down to the river and just set quietly , and see how many sounds of the animals i can name , i write them down so afterwards i can pause and review them later when i am in high stress situation and am unable to visit the river .

another coping strategy is blowing bubbles or trying the hula hoop . i hope these little tidbits may help you or give you pause to think . have a wonderful week
